Italy - Day 2 Rome

Today we took a guided walking tour of Rome and Vatican City. We saw the Colosseum, numerous old buildings and excavations of ancient ruins. The architecture of ancient Rome is truly amazing.

The city has a tough time trying to build anything as every time they try they unearth some ancient ruins which can't be destroyed as Rome is a UNESCO heritage site. Some of the excavations and sites we saw today were all covered up even as few as five years ago.
